East Point
East Point property is located on US 64 in Knightdale, North Carolina. The city of Knightdale has a population of approximately 6,250 and is 10.56 miles east of downtown Raleigh. US 64 is a major east-west traffic corridor that connects Raleigh-Durham to I-95, approximately 40 miles away.
The new Knightdale Bypass is now complete and has eliminated the extensive traffic congestion that was present on US 64. The new I-540 extension will greatly improve access to I-95 (the main North to South transportation artery on the East Coast) and will create an influx of retail and multi-family development near the facility.

The RDU International Airport is less than 20 miles from the property. The Wendell/Knightdale Airport is located one half mile from the property.
General Building and Site Description
There are three (3) primary facilities situated on a large 60 acre site originally developed in the early 1970’s. The original construction includes a manufacturing plant and single level office area completed and occupied in 1972. An adjoining training facility was added to the office area in 1985, and a materials R&D laboratory was built within the original office area in the early 1990’s. A separate warehouse facility of approximately 25,200 SF was added in 1980 when Square D began to bulk purchase packaging material for shipping the devices manufactured at this site. The manufacturing plant includes approximately 270,840 SF under one roof.
A new 3-story office building of approximately 80,000 GSF was added to the original office building and the western portion of the site was developed in 1988. The original office construction was updated to match the exterior efis façade of the new office building. Parking is an abundant 924 spaces and has recently been sealed and striped.
The additional land could be easily utilized for building/parking expansion or for new development.
